Aurum Collective: Center for the Healing Arts
A website redesign exploring information architecture, content strategy, and user experience for a Center for the Healing Arts.
Overview
Aurum Collective is a conceptual Center for the Healing Arts exploring the relationship between creative practice, movement, music, culture, and whole-person well-being. The redesigned website brings these areas together under a unified framework centered on learning, creativity, connection, and reflection.
Context
Aurum Collective began as a broader creative and wellness concept encompassing multiple artistic and cultural interests. As the organization evolved toward a healing-arts model, the existing website needed to be reconsidered to communicate a clearer purpose and create a more cohesive experience for visitors.
The redesign reframes Aurum as a space where the arts can serve as avenues for connection, learning, self-expression, cultural engagement, and well-being.
Purpose
The website is designed to introduce Aurum Collective's mission and organize its diverse areas of interest into an intuitive structure. Rather than presenting unrelated offerings as separate services, the site establishes the healing arts as the overarching concept connecting music, dance, mindful movement, calligraphy, and cultural research.
Scope
The website redesign encompasses:
Healing Music: Exploring music as a form of connection, reflection, and supportive care
Dance & Movement: Creative and culturally informed approaches to movement and embodied expression
Guided Meditation: Practices centered on awareness, movement, and reflection
Japanese Calligraphy: Contemplative and culturally rooted forms of artistic expression
The Moonlit Archive: A digital media project exploring the philosophical, psychological, and symbolic themes embedded in anime, film, and popular culture. Through video essays and short-form analysis, it invites audiences to look beyond the surface of the stories they watch.
Role
Concept Development, Information Architecture, Content Strategy, UX/UI Design, and Website Development
I developed the conceptual direction for the organization and translated that vision into the website's structure, content hierarchy, navigation, and visual presentation. The project required determining how diverse subject areas could coexist within a single digital experience while maintaining a consistent organizational identity.
Tools
Squarespace
Used for website development, page structure, navigation, content organization, and visual design.
Additional creative and research tools may be incorporated as the site continues to develop.
Conditions
This project was developed as an evolving organizational concept rather than as a commissioned client website. The design therefore required working within an emerging mission and determining how the organization's future activities could be represented without overcommitting to a fixed business model.
